Sterling Silver | Navajo Handmade
Gallup, New Mexico is one of the last places in the Southwest where Native American art still feels deeply tied to everyday life. Beyond the highway exits and chain stores, the city carries the spirit of Indian Country — shaped by Navajo tradition, Hispanic influence, and generations of handmade craftsmanship. That authenticity lives in pieces like this striking tufa cast cuff.
Handmade by Navajo silversmith Lester James, this sterling silver bracelet features a rustic tufa cast finish with a beautifully textured surface that reflects the traditional casting process. Unlike factory-made jewelry, every mark and detail carries the individuality of the artist’s hand.
Running across the front is a row of nineteen hand-cut Kingman turquoise stones set in cobblestone inlay. The stones display vibrant shades of sky blue with natural matrix patterns that give the bracelet depth and movement. The clean geometric inlay contrasts beautifully against the rugged tufa texture, creating a cuff that feels both traditional and contemporary.
The low-profile design makes it comfortable for everyday wear while still carrying the bold Southwestern presence collectors look for in authentic Navajo jewelry. No two cuffs are exactly alike, making each bracelet a wearable original.
