Persian Turquoise | Sterling Silver

We are proud to call New Mexico home. Across the Land of Enchantment, the Zia sun symbol can be found everywhere from old mission walls to the state flag itself. Originating from the Zia Pueblo, the symbol has become one of the most recognizable images of the Southwest and continues to inspire artists throughout the region.

Navajo silversmith Calvin Martinez brings that Southwestern tradition into this bold handcrafted sterling silver ring. Inspired by the Zia design, Calvin builds the silver setting around a striking round cut of Persian Turquoise. The stone carries an almost Blue Diamond Turquoise appearance with vivid shades of blue flowing beneath heavy dark matrix that stretches naturally across the surface of the stone.

The turquoise is surrounded by twisted wire and framed by substantial silverwork that forms the sunburst inspired design. The raised silver elements create depth and dimension while giving the ring a strong architectural feel that immediately stands out when worn. Calvin finishes the piece with his signature tapered sterling silver band, detailed with deep hand stamped patterns that continue around the shank.

This is the kind of ring that captures the spirit of New Mexico — bold silverwork, exceptional turquoise, and traditional Southwestern design brought together in one unforgettable handmade piece. A true statement ring for any collector of Navajo jewelry.
