Royston Turquoise | Tufa Cast Sterling Silver
Carved from stone and cast in fire, this cuff carries the raw texture of the earth itself. Navajo artist Lester James uses traditional tufa casting to create a deeply textured surface—each impression taken from the porous volcanic stone, leaving behind a landscape you can feel.
At the center rests a striking cut of Royston Turquoise, its vivid blue tone marked with warm brown matrix, like desert veins running through open sky. The stone rises slightly above a clean, polished silver channel that cuts through the rugged surface—bringing balance between refinement and the raw, untouched feel of the cast.
Lester’s work is grounded in tradition, but never static. This piece feels both ancient and modern—formed by hand, shaped by earth, and meant to be worn with presence.
