Turquoise Mountain Turquoise | Sterling Silver

Navajo silversmith Teddy Francis spent decades working for trading posts throughout the Gallup area, building a reputation long before artists could share their work online. Beginning in the 1960s, Teddy created jewelry in a wide range of styles for different Southwest shops and collectors. His son, Melvin Francis, followed that same path when he began making jewelry in the 1990s, learning directly from his father and developing the versatility to create both traditional and contemporary Navajo designs.

This bracelet is a clean and understated example of Melvin’s work. The narrow sterling silver cuff is hand stamped from end to end with a repeating traditional design that adds texture without overpowering the stone. Set at the center is a beautiful oval cut of Turquoise Mountain turquoise displaying deep blue color with a rich golden-brown matrix flowing across the surface. The natural contrast in the stone gives the bracelet warmth and character while keeping the design simple and easy to wear.

Its slim profile makes it perfect for everyday wear or stacking with other Navajo silver bracelets, while the vivid Turquoise Mountain stone keeps the piece rooted in classic Southwestern style.
