Turquoise Mountain | Sterling Silver
In the high desert of New Mexico, turquoise is more than adornment—it’s part of everyday life, worn, seen, and carried across generations. This row cuff by Navajo silversmith Melvin Francis reflects that enduring connection.
Nine cuts of Turquoise Mountain stone stretch across the bracelet, each one a mix of bright sky blue and earthy golden matrix, drawn from the Kingman Mining District. The stones are set in a steady line, framed by traditional silver drops that give the piece rhythm and balance.
Crafted from heavy 14-gauge sterling silver, this cuff has a solid, lasting feel—built to wear in, not wear out. At each end, deep stamp work anchors the design, a quiet nod to classic Navajo silversmithing.
A piece grounded in place and tradition, made to age alongside the one who wears it.

It’s a familiar story in Native American jewelry: one generation passes the craft to the next. That’s how Navajo silversmith Melvin Francis got his start. From the time he was eight, Melvin sat at his father Ted Francis’s workbench—watching, helping, and slowly learning the skills that would shape his life. Today, Melvin still uses many of the same tools his late father once held in his hands.
