Kingman Turquoise | Sterling Silver

There is something mesmerizing about watching an experienced Navajo silversmith work. Years of repetition turn difficult techniques into instinct, and patterns that would take most people hours appear effortlessly beneath the hammer. That mastery is what gives traditional Navajo silverwork its rhythm and precision.

This cuff by Navajo silversmith Melvin Francis showcases that craftsmanship beautifully.

A single round cut of Kingman Turquoise sits at the center, displaying delicate veins of webbing across bright sky blue color. The stone is framed with classic twisted wire, creating a clean focal point against the heavier silver cuff.

From there, the bracelet flows outward with deep hand-stamped patterns repeated from one end to the other. The stamp work is struck sharply into heavy gauge sterling silver, creating strong contrast and texture while maintaining balance across the entire piece. A deep center line runs through the cuff, guiding the eye naturally back to the turquoise.

Finished with a mirror polished shine, the bracelet highlights both the richness of the Kingman stone and the precision of Melvin’s traditional stamp work. Comfortable, balanced, and easy to wear, this is the kind of Navajo cuff that never goes out of style.
